How do I get assistance?
Visit the MSWDO office
Go to the MSWDO at the Municipal Hall and bring a valid ID and any documents related to your request (e.g. medical records, barangay certificate).
Assessment & interview
Our social workers assess your situation and record your details on the General Intake Sheet to determine the assistance you qualify for.
Approval & release
Once approved by the MSWDO, your assistance is prepared and released. You may be asked to return on a given schedule.

Our mandate
The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office implements social protection and poverty-reduction programs for the people of Luna, Apayao — safeguarding the welfare of children, women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, solo parents, indigenous peoples, and families in crisis, in line with national social welfare laws.

Residents of Luna, Apayao may apply for the following forms of assistance at the MSWDO office. Each request is assessed by our social workers and reviewed by the MSWDO before assistance is released.
Medical Assistance
Help with hospital bills, medicines, and laboratory or diagnostic costs for those who cannot afford them.
Educational Assistance
Support for school supplies, fees, and other educational needs of deserving students.
Burial / Funeral Assistance
Financial help for the funeral and burial expenses of a deceased family member.
Transportation Assistance
Fare and transport support, especially for medical referrals and stranded individuals.
Food Assistance
Food packs and relief for families affected by calamity, crisis, or hardship.
Hygiene / Sleeping Kits
Basic hygiene kits and sleeping materials for evacuees and displaced families.
